Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program


Childhood lead poisoning prevention provides case management to children under the age of 6 who has elevated lead levels.  Lead poisoning is a type of metal poisoning caused by lead exposure to children, which can severely affect mental and physical development. Children’s lead levels are checked using a blood test measuring the level of lead in their blood. Blood level of concern in children are 5 micrograms per deciliter of lead.
